About Lynn Dean

Lynn Dean is a multi-published author of stories set in Texas and the American Southwest. Her books have been featured in historical museums and bookstores at several Texas Historical Commission historical sites.


Her popular Discover Texas history program is entering its 25th year as the top Texas History curriculum among Christian homeschoolers.
More Precious Than Gold, the first novel in her Sangre de Cristo series, was a 2011 Faith, Hope, and Love Touched by Love award finalist. Its sequel Stronger Than Mountains won a 2018 Will Rogers Medallion Award for Inspirational Fiction.

Most recently she contributed to A Hill Country Christmas~Hope for Hardscrabble Times, which she also published and which won a 2023 Selah Award as well as a 2023 Will Rogers Medallion Award.
Lynn loves to connect with readers through personal appearances at book clubs, libraries, and historical museums as well as on Facebook.

Lynn lives in the Texas Hill Country with the husband who inspires most of her heroes. They enjoy spoiling their rescued cat and Australian Shepherd and riding into the sunset.
